This documentation explains how to manage and use Seeds in Y42, providing a UI for convenient setup and configuration of CSV files as seeds.

What are seeds?

Seeds in Y42 are CSV files that get loaded into your data warehouse (DWH). These files serve as version-controlled, code-reviewed data sources that can be referenced in downstream models or sources. They are particularly suitable for static data that changes infrequently.

Loading seeds

In Y42, handling seeds is straightforward. We offer a user interface where you can review, and later modify, your CSV files. Additionally, you can add configurations that are saved in your seed’s YAML file.
